Got the idea that came to me on Friday painted on a 36x48 canvas, so I’ll spend the next several weeks, and certainly the holidays, making this more polished. I now have around 35 acrylic paintings started, which thrills my brain. I am able to come home from work and eenie meenie mine-y moe my way to a canvas or wood board, and keep my body from sitting and my brain busy. I can pick an emotion I should face, and serenade it while I paint. I wonder if I’ll ever have a normal sleep schedule again. By the way, I noticed that one of the tv news universes that succeeds at hypnosis was/has been working on the usual spell involving the idea of saving Christmas by finding cargo ships, stuck or lost at sea, on which alleged Christmas presents are contained and jailed, so I thought I’d send up some kind of tidbit I know is true: as far as I know, no artwork by local artists are located on these cargo ships, so if you’d like to take a break this year from the pretend war on Christmas, no combat is necessary if you support a local artist by finding a Kwanza or a Hanukkah or a Christmas without the tv universes and their winning white boy gun tales.
